Dak... be nice. Sorry Gutz, I'll go ahead and tell you why this game isn't going well for you. You never want to play in these spots unless you are forced to. The person who gets the corners has it a whole lot easier, and with me already having two corners only 1/3 of the way through the game was doomed.

The corners is the key strategy, everything builds on it. He seems to have already grasped that enabling the other person to get a side isn't a good idea, he was just missing the corner part. You can expound on the strategy if you care to, but it's mostly something people just pick up as they play.

Well, yeah... that's a given. Once you get a corner you can gradually work down the row. It's common to have at least 3/4 of the adjacent sides after capturing a corner, the player then moves out in a diagonal sweep taking pieces, and the opposing player has almost no defense against it.

heh... it's fun to wipe your opponent off the board completely before the board fills up
