Make 2-3 quarters at the start. Buy oddies as it suports oddlabs ans you can sell for points.

The size of the island determines how many Quarters you should build. When a game starts make sure to observe what your opponent/s are building.

On a 1v1 map, you have the choice of either building 1 Quarters before an Armoury and 'rushing' your opponent, or 2 Quarters and an Armoury - providing they are doing the same. Whether or not you require chickens or iron, you should stop your opponent from taking them (a couple of warriors placed by a resource will do the job).

If you are playing a larger map such as Chain Reaction, observe your neighbours and providing they are not planning to rush you, build 3 Quarters and then an Armoury. If a neighbour has only built 1-2 Quarters they might be planning to rush someone.

If you haven't bought Chicken Punishers, or Terrifying Toot (better and cheaper than Ravaging Roar) you will have a real hard time beating good opponents anyway. On a large island it is always possible to hide some peasants somewhere incase all of your buildings are destroyed and then you might be able to start over. If a island has treasure, send a warrior from a tower to it as soon as the game starts. Amazing how some people don't bother.

Unfortunately you only get 100 points per opponent in multiplayer. Furthermore if there any bot players you only get 25 points x number of opponents. So for example, if you win a game of Chain Reaction versus 4 humans and 1 bot you will only get 125 points compared with 500 if you beat 5 humans.
