Sort of a weird coincidence:

Oddlabs releases iPhone tower defense game.

Server numbers spike (as I write this there it is saying 486!!!)

Lag increases to intolerable levels, can't even enter an island!

I love you oddlabs, but you really need some communication/pr help. The strong silent nordic type is great for cross country, not so good for building a loyal gamer fan base.

Tower Defense was released quite some time ago, I doubt it has anything to do with the current TT2 issue. But the lag problem is definitely getting worse, currently saying 491 players online, & takes 10-15 minutes to enter an island and join a game. Once the game starts, everything seems to run as normal, but I'm not waiting half an hour for one game of beach assault which typically takes 2-3 minutes to play. It'd be great for oddlabs (and those of us waiting patiently for an upgrade) if there actually was that many players online, and a good percentage of them were actually paying players, but I suspect this is not the case :(

same here... new record of 508 players online.
oddlabs, u should try to fix this, but if only 75 or so of the 508 are paying users, then thats not really something to look foward to.

Good call out Dak, didn't know that iPod game had been released...

Another thought would be that something has happened that is causing the server not to log players out properly. Being a Java app, this is plausible. We have several custom and 3rd party java apps at work that every so often need caches cleared and restarts on the end user side to allow the servers to see that they actually logged off.

Has anyone emailed Sune/support about this yet?

over 900 now, just checked the theatre, nobody has played a game in multiplayer for over a day.

BTW Sune... is GMT the time zone used for the times in the theatre?
