The EPIC FAIL in this case Chieftone is the fact that you would post a picture like that in a thread full of hilarity and piss-taking. Fail pics are comedy. This pic is a tragedy. Yeah sure, that's a real mangled Smart car in there... it's got a real mangled driver in it too. Anyone who thinks this pic is even remotely funny is just wrong in the head.

Epic Fail, as it is used on the internet, is a comedic failure of epic proportions.

eg:
- person grinding a skateboard down a stair rail, falling off one leg either side and landing groin first on the rail, then stumbling around moaning and holding said groin = EPIC FAIL = hilarious;
- person grinding a skateboard down a stair rail, falling off and splitting head open and dying = obviously failed at what he was attempting to do = catastrophic & tragic = not funny at all = definitely not an "EPIC FAIL" in internet terms
