"Steve Cummings As I read this - when the new or "final" version is launched we will only be credited at the new rate at which oddies cost...so for example if back in the day for $10 we got 15 oddies - if that same $10 in the new (final) version only buys 5 oddies - we will be out 10 oddies...is that a fair assumption (the points/$ are obviously made-up)"
I hope what I suspect is wrong - it would be a shame to penalize the long-time players...why not loosen the purse strings and grandfather us in on a ODDIES basis not a $ basis!
So they answered this question in a way that I am essentially pleased with, mostly b/c they said it was an excellent quesiton - aw shucks:
"@Steve Excellent question. The actual value of the Oddies you purchased will not change. But since we will likely add many items that are less expensive we need to raise... the amount of Oddies required for other things. To ensure you can buy everything back you previously had if we increase the price of the unit upgrades by 2X we need to give you 2X the Oddies, so if you previously had 50 you will now have 100. This allows us to sell some of the new items cheaper such as clothing to make your chief look more impressive.
We are not actually raising the price of buying anything. If $1 previously bought you 10 Oddies, it will now buy you 20."
